This fact about T.J. Power could give UNC the edge in his recruitment

Will the UNC basketball program benefit from four-star recruit T.J. Power having Tar Heels’ fans in his family?

Class of 2023 power forward [autotag]T.J. Power[/autotag] is a name that UNC basketball fans are getting more and more familiar with. It was just a few weeks back when Hubert Davis and his staff offered the prospect and now they have their sights set on landing him.

The Massachusetts native is playing very well on the AAU circuit and is drawing significant interest from several programs. He’s up to a total of 23 offers already and has taken two visits while another is scheduled. But with UNC recently showing interest, are they too far behind to catch up?

Power talked to Travis Branham of 247Sports and he revealed something very interesting about his family:

North Carolina: “I got a lot of UNC fans in my family so it was cool to share that moment with them. Coach Davis first year head coach making a national championship and I think there’s a spot for me there to play pretty yearly and do some damage so definitely going to look into that one pretty hard.”

The family part is very interesting and the highlight of the quote, which is good news for UNC. There’s also more good things in there including him saying he’s definitely going to look into that one.

Power has yet to set up a visit to UNC but we’d be shocked if the Tar Heels didn’t get one soon.
