Texas A&M (12-7, 3-3 SEC) won its second straight inside Reed Arena to keep the Missouri Tigers (8-11, 0-6 SEC) winless in SEC play.
It was absurdly ugly at times, but the Aggies grinded out a home victory to move to .500 in SEC play. Another night of miss after miss led to a below 30% shooting night, but foul after foul led to a 27-37 showing from the stripe and put the Tigers’ best players in foul trouble early. Henry Coleman III talked post-game about the aggressive Missouri plays defense and the game plan to take advantage of their scrappiness.
” they’re a scrappy team, they’re a really good defensive team. I would say still we know they’re very aggressive so coach just said be strong with the ball try to play off two feet and get downhill and made good decision and I think that’s what we did all night”
Texas A&M will stay home to take on the Ole Miss Rebels on January 27 at 7:30 PM CST in Reed Arena.
