The Zebras Report for Titans vs. Jaguars in Week 11

Brad Rogers’ crew will be in charge of a Titans game for the second time this season.

With last week’s deflating loss in the rearview mirror, it’s time to shift our focus toward the Tennessee Titans’ upcoming matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 11.

Sunday’s contest is between two AFC South teams trending in opposite directions. Despite a loss last week, Jacksonville sits atop the division standings at 6-3, while Tennessee is the bottom-feeder at 3-6.

After dealing with one of the more lenient officiating crews a week ago, the Titans are slated to have one of the most strict in the NFL in Week 11, with Brad Rogers and his staff set to be in charge of Sunday’s game.

This is the second Titans game this season that Rogers’ crew has worked. The first came in Week 5 against the Indianapolis Colts, a game that saw a total of 12 penalties called and accepted, which was fewer penalties called than Rogers’ crew has averaged per game all season (13.4).

According to the NFLPenalties.com, Rodgers and Co. have accounted for the third-most flags thrown (151), the fourth-most amount of penalties accepted (121), and they are one of four crews that have surpassed 1,000 yards off penalties (1,041).

Listed below is each penalty that Rogers and his staff have called through the first nine weeks, how frequently they called them, and which teams they’ve favored the most.

All other penalties not listed either haven’t been called or were negated by offsetting and/or penalties that were declined.

Now that we’ve covered all of that, let’s take a closer look at the tendencies of this particular officiating crew in order to get a better idea of what to expect come Sunday.
