The Wizards might’ve just had the earliest players only meeting in the history of sports

A players only meeting ALREADY?!?

Listen. There are three words sports fans never want to hear associated with their favorite team.

“Players only meeting.”

That can never be a good thing. It’s like getting that “we need to talk” text from your significant other. There’s only pain and suffering awaiting on the other side. Put that talk off as long as possible.

The dreaded players only meeting means that something somewhere along the lines went wrong. And players are trying to identify whatever that something is and fix it.

Usually, these things happen in the swing of the season after a tough losing streak or the chemistry seems off.

But it’s only the start of training camp. And my Washington Wizards have already had their first.

Let me tell y’all how excited I am for this season, man. Especially after Bradley Beal’s media day? Man. This is going to be, uh, interesting.

Now, look. This isn’t a bad thing. And these meetings actually happen far more often than we think. We just don’t hear about them all the time because, really, we’re not supposed to.

But this one was, apparently, to help set the chemistry for the team.

That’s fine. But, of course, fans still had jokes. And they were pretty good jokes, too.
