When the Philadelphia Phillies acquired Bryce Harper for $330 million back in 2019, they probably envisioned Harper being the one to send the Phillies to the World Series with a dramatic home run in the NLCS.
On Sunday, that exact scenario unfolded, and in the words of Phillies radio play-by-play announcer Scott Franzke, it was “Bedlam in the Bank” on Sunday. And while Citizens Bank Park did indeed go nuts over the go-ahead home run that locked up the National League pennant, the moment from Franzke’s perspective was among the best looks at Harper’s home run.
On Monday, footage from the Phillies radio booth hit social media, and it was awesome to see Franzke and Larry Andersen celebrate the moment while unleashing an elite call at the same time.
The great @graham_foley3 and I were pretty busy last night. But here ya go. #franzkeLAcam on the biggest HR of Bryce’s career. Enjoy! #philliesradiobooth pic.twitter.com/Jzoir9RyS4

It really doesn’t get better than postseason baseball.
