Although Badger fans will not want to hear it, the Minnesota Golden Gophers landed a good one in Brandon Johnson. Johnson will be immediately eligible for his senior season in the Twin Cities after coming off his best collegiate season with the Western Michigan Broncos. In 2019-20, Johnson averaged 15.4 points and over eight rebounds per contest en route to being named Third-Team All-MAC. After missing all of 2018-19 with an injury, the future Gopher silenced any doubt with his play this past year.

Johnson is a lengthy 6-foot-8 athlete who rebounds the basketball well and shows off his bounce on both ends of the floor. He is an above-average finisher around the rim and the rising redshirt-senior runs the floor well for his size. Expect Johnson to gobble up a ton of boards next year in the Big Ten.
