The stage is set for a winner-take-all between the Lions and Vikings

The Week 18 game between the Vikings and Lions will determine plenty for the NFC playoff picture.

Some might say the Vikings found themselves looking ahead after they had a comfortable 27-10 lead over Green Bay on Sunday. For those who say that, you might’ve been right. The Packers surged back and found themselves down two points, but an incredible catch by Cam Akers put the game out of reach and let the Vikings win 27-25 over their arch-rival.

With the win to put Minnesota 14-2 on the season, everything will be on the line next week for the Vikings. Minnesota will travel to Detroit to face the red-hot Lions’ team. The winner will win the NFC North and the winner could wind up with the No. 1 seed in the NFC. The Lions play Monday night against San Francisco and the Lions would need to win that game and next week to have the top seed.

Detroit came out on top earlier in the season in Minnesota. The Lions beat the Vikings 31-29 back in October.
