10. Gardner Minshew, Jacksonville Jaguars
Jacksonville’s sixth-round rookie did the most he possibly could with his deep-ball opportunities. Minshew was debited by a lot of draft analysts because the thought was that he could only chuck-and-duck in Mike Leach’s Washington State offense, but the NFL numbers tell a different tale. Minshew completed 24 of his 49 attempts of 20 or more air yards for 818 yards, five touchdowns, and no interceptions. No quarterback taking at least 20% of his team’s snaps had a higher passer rating on such throws than Minshew’s 129.0.
