2. Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks
Last season, Wilson ranked 10th in the NFL in passing attempts (577), but third in deep attempts (97) and first in deep completions (42). Were he in an offense that didn’t preach balance above all, and were he in an offense with an above-average offensive line and a more defined group of receivers, one wonders what his numbers might be. Still, Wilson managed 12 deep touchdowns to just two interceptions in 2019, and his 121.2 deep passer rating ranked second behind Kirk Cousins. And as we’ve said, Wilson had to work a lot harder to get there.
