Kelly Clarkson hosted the 2023 NFL Honors on Thursday and, as expected, there were so many singing jokes.
The singer-songwriter turned television personality became the first woman to host the event and came out firing with some incredible roasts in her opening monologue. Given Clarkson’s prestigious singing career, it was no surprise to see the on-stage band troll her with her own songs during the event.
Hilariously, instead of Clarkson singing like many expected, fans were faked out with NFL players covering her songs. George Kittle covered “My Life Would Suck Without You” with a serenade about the San Francisco 49ers season alongside Brock Purdy and Christian McCaffrey.

Kittle certainly belted that with passion, I’ll say that.
Later in the show, Cam Jordan hilariously covered “Breakaway” with an ode to Sean Payton.

I appreciate the NFL Honors crew’s trolling but man, they should have just let Clarkson cook up there! We know how good of a singer she is and I’m sure the NFL players in attendance wouldn’t have minded an impromptu performance.
