It’s a good time to own a professional sports franchise. Owners of the world’s premier teams saw significant increases in overall team valuation over the last year with very few exceptions.
Forbes released its annual list of the 50 most valuable franchises in sports, and while the Dallas Cowboys took the top spot yet again, the Yankees jumped from fifth in 2018 to second in 2019, closing the gap to the Cowboys by $400 million.
