The NFL’s ability to dominate the sports landscape remains almost unparalleled, and today is perhaps the biggest example. Today is, after all, “schedule release day,” when the NFL announces the schedule for the upcoming season.
Even though we have known for weeks the matchups, now that we know when these games are going to be played, we can spend hours diving into each contest and start gaming out scenarios, schematic matchups, and more.
It certainly does give us something to talk about.
So, here are the most intriguing matchups on the 2021 NFL schedule from where I sit, factoring in schemes, player movement, one-on-one battles, and more. And it starts early with some fascinating things to watch for in Week 1.
