The most exciting aspect of the USC offense is not found on a highlight film

We talked to @MarkRogersTV at the @VoiceOfCFB about the USC offense.

The USC Trojans’ offense wasn’t perfect against Arizona … but it did the job. The Men of Troy scored 45 points, which is going to be enough to win games most days. Last Saturday was not the exception to the rule.

Yet, that game in Tucson was a one-possession game. It was a little too close for comfort, at least at times. The game wasn’t completely decided until the final 75 seconds of regulation.

Had USC been perfect on offense, the game wouldn’t have come down to the wire.

Yes, that’s right: There is still room for improvement in spite of the superb numbers. There is still another place where this team and this offense can go. It’s exciting to know that 45 points is hardly the ceiling of the Trojans’ potential. The obvious time for this offense to max out is on Nov. 19, when the Trojans face UCLA. That is a game (with an opponent) which demands the very best the Trojans have to offer.

We discussed this with Mark Rogers at The Voice of College Football
