Kevin James memes are all the rage right now on the internet, but the New York Jets took a different route to troll Sean Payton after their team’s big win over his Denver Broncos on Sunday.
As you may recall, Payton had this to say to USA TODAY Sports over the summer: “It doesn’t happen often where an NFL team or organization gets embarrassed. And that happened here. Part of it was their own fault, relative to spending so much [expletive] time trying to win the offseason—the PR, the pomp and circumstance, marching people around and all this stuff. We’re not doing any of that. The Jets did that this year. You watch. Hard Knocks, all of it. I can see it coming.”
Here’s what did come: The Jets beat the Broncos in Week 5, and the Jets’ social media managers decided to use an image of James as Payton in Home Team along with a wink to Payton’s quote:

Between that and Jets players dapping Nathaniel Hackett, it was quite a day for Gang Green and a long one for Payton.
