The Jazz are a terrific pick-and-roll team, one of the best in the league, actually. With Conley, Donovan Mitchell, Joe Ingles and Jordan Clarkson, Utah can run multiple pick-and-rolls on the same possession from different spots on the floor, with equally capable playmakers. In this way, they are unique. That strength coincides with Denver’s biggest weakness, pick-and-roll defense. It’s the root of the Nuggets being the 22nd-best defensive team in the bubble, out of, you guessed it, 22 teams. If the Jazz move the ball, don’t turn it over and run good offense, they are going to generate open shots. And with open shots, it’s simply make or miss from there. “It’s a good matchup,” Clarkson said. “It’s the playoffs, everybody tunes up and really locks in. Every possession means something, so it’s going to be a good matchup for us. We’re going to go out there and compete and play hard, try to win this series. Take it one game at a time.”
