The Vikings beat the Jaguars in a head-scratching, inconsistent fashion.
Minnesota’s defense stepped up in the second half, but on offense the Vikings gave away another turnover returned for a touchdown. Also, as good as the defense was, the group still gave up a late fourth-quarter drive that helped Jacksonville tie up the game.
The Vikings needed overtime to put away the one-win Jaguars, but there are still some positive takeaways. Minnesota moves to 6-6 and now the playoffs are more in sight for a team that has to play more consistent down the stretch.
