The good, the bad, and the MVP: Michigan’s loss vs. Minnesota

What actually went right, what definitely went wrong and which Michigan basketball player was the best player on the court in the loss.

The Michigan Wolverines looked rather human after all on Saturday afternoon.

Michigan took a thumping at the heels of the Golden Gophers with a final score of 75-57. This defeat gives the Wolverines their first loss of the season, and they now sit at 11-1 (6-1).

The maize and blue obliterated three straight ranked teams before Saturday’s loss – including an 82-57 victory over Minnesota 10 days ago — and they now will try to rebound and regain their footing before the next matchup against Maryland.

Michigan seemed to come out flat — and they for sure played lethargic — on Saturday. The Wolverines were without a key contributor in Eli Brooks, due to a strained right foot, and the offense never seemed to gain any traction. There were too many turnovers, bad shot selections, and they just got outplayed altogether.

We’re going to dive a little deeper into the game and talk about the good, the bad, and the MVP of the ballgame.
