When Rory McIlroy teamed up with Shane Lowry to win the 2024 Zurich Classic of New Orleans, it marked his 25th victory on the PGA Tour. He then backed that up in is next start, the 2024 Wells Fargo Championship, for career win No. 26.
The win at Quail Hollow Club was his first since the 2023 Scottish Open in 2023.
With 26 wins, McIlroy breaks a tie at 25 he held with Johnny Miller, Tommy Armour and Macdonald Smith and slides him next to Henry Picard, also with 26.
Looking ahead, Leo Diegel and Paul Runyan have 28; Gene Littler, Lee Trevino and Harry Cooper each have 29; Horton Smith sitting at 30.
