No. 3: Left tackle Cole Van Lanen
Cole Van Lanen, like Burrell, is getting some NFL love entering his final season in Madison as he prepares to do the second-most-important job (arguably) in football: block quarterback Jack Coan’s blindside.
The Wisconsin native was ProFootballFocus’ No. 1-graded offensive tackle in 2018 but fell off a bit with a grade of 72.4 last season.

The fact that he will be an NFL lineman aside, blocking Coan’s blindside is pivotal to the team’s success as we’ve seen what he’s able to do if given time in the pocket.
He would be No. 2 on this list if it weren’t for the next player’s experience, NFL potential and the departure of key contributors at his position.
Next…No. 2 who will be the quarterback of the defensive unit
