Warner Bros. released the first trailer for its soft reboot of Suicide Squad, and the movie seems to lean heavily into absurdity with wild costumes, crazy CGI (see: King Shark) and ridiculous humor.
After one trailer, it’s completely unclear what the plot will be — but the movie will include a star-studded cast of oddball heroes and anti-heroes, who are intent upon completing … a “mission.” What mission? I literally have no idea, but it appears to involve a guns, explosions, a kaiju and an extremely charming Idris Elba. (Sign me up.) Director James Gunn is bringing his silly emotional tone — and his on-point soundtrack choices — that he developed with the Guardians of the Galaxy movies.
An important warning: There is explicit language in this trailer. Here’s the railer.
