The final 2023 NFL mock draft from ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. has Anthony Richardson outside the top 10

Could Anthony Richardson really drop this far?

HAPPY DRAFT DAY!

That’s right, the 2023 NFL draft is finally here. No more wondering about who’s going where. On Thursday night, we’ll learn who’s a first-round pick.

Before we get there, we’ve got some final NFL mock drafts. Our Christian D’Andrea had Florida QB Anthony Richardson — who had a stellar NFL combine — going third overall to the Raiders, who would trade up to get him.

And in Mel Kiper Jr.’s final mock draft of 2023 on ESPN, he’s got Richardson dropping all the way to 15th overall … where the Vikings trade to grab the quarterback of the future for the franchise. Here’s his thinking:

In Minnesota, Richardson could sit for a year behind Kirk Cousins and then take over in 2024, when Cousins is a free agent. This is the perfect place for Richardson. At 6-foot-4, 244 pounds, he has a rare size and speed combination, but he’s incredibly raw as a passer. He needs to develop his all-around game.

There you have it. Make sure to check out our final NFL mock draft. We also have our latest “consensus” mock draft to show who the experts are picking, along with the full first-round order up to date after the Aaron Rodgers trade.
