The Atlanta Falcons did lose the battle against their NFC South rivals, the New Orleans Saints.
But at least they won the war against improbability.
With the Falcons down 26-15 in fourth quarter, Atlanta went for an onside kick, which you may know from last year’s rule changes made converting the play successfully a near-impossible feat. But the Falcons’ Foyesade Oluokun grabbed the football … but Atlanta was whistled for being offside.
Another Younghoe Koo kick, and this time Oluokun got it again with no penalty. After a field goal, the Falcons lined up for another onside kick and … holy turkey, they got it again!
Here’s the first successful recovery:

And the second, with a classic call from NBC’s Mike Tirico:

Per CBS Sports, “onside kick attempts were converted on 8.1 percent of tries (3 of 37) entering Week 13.”
Pretty incredible, even if the Falcons lost.
