The Exorcist movie rescheduled its release date to avoid competing with Taylor Swift

Look what you made them do, Taylor.

“Look what you made me do.”

A simple six words, but the point couldn’t have been made clearer by Jason Blum, the founder of Blumhouse Studios. With just one tweet, Blum announced the upcoming horror flick, The Exorcist: Believer, will move up its release date to deconflict with Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” movie.

Swift announced on Good Morning America on Thursday, August 31, that her mega-popular Eras Tour would hit the big screens for a special showing of the concert on October 13.

Blum’s tweet quoted the title of one of her hits off of the Reputation album to announce the move, and it couldn’t have been more perfect.

Four other movies are set to debut October 13, including What Happens Later, the newly announced rom-com between Meg Ryan and David Duchovny.
