The complete 2020-21 Oklahoma basketball season preview

College basketball has arrived. A preview Oklahoma basketball’s 2020-21 season which tips off Wednesday night against UTSA.

College basketball season has arrived.

Similar to college football, nobody was really sure if we would get here and many aren’t sure if it going to work or last for the long haul. But, football finding a way to at least get by to this point (albeit with many game cancellations and postponements) has to at least provide some confidence this season will get played in its entirety.

There will inevitably be games affected, many already have been, and teams will almost surely be forced to play games without key players – which should provide for one of the more topsy-turvy seasons in recent history.

“It will be different for sure,” said Oklahoma head coach Lon Kruger. “We just have to maintain the right attitude and adjust to whatever. And do whatever we need to to get games in.”

The Sooners are preparing to begin their tenth season under Kruger Wednesday night when they host UTSA at the Lloyd Noble Center.

Oklahoma basketball has a lot of positive momentum with it coming off of the way last season ended prior to the Big 12 and NCAA Tournaments getting canceled.

Some exciting young players, some key returning players, and a coach that has consistently produced a tournament-caliber team year in and year out should provide fans with some confidence.

Here is everything you need to know about the 2020-21 Oklahoma Sooners basketball team ahead of the season opener.
