The Bucks promoted Charles Lee to associate head coach and Hamilton fans all made the same joke

Hopefully the Bucks don’t schedule any games in Monmouth

At 37 years old, Charles Lee has made a rather rapid ascension up the NBA coaching ranks.

After playing four years at Bucknell from 2002-06 — then going pro overseas for four more years — Lee started as an assistant at his alma mater before joining Mike Budenholzer’s staff with the Atlanta Hawks in 2014.

When Budenholzer’s Atlanta tenure ended in 2018, Lee followed the coach to the Milwaukee Bucks, where they went on to win an NBA title in 2021. On Saturday, Lee took the next major step in his career as the Bucks reportedly promoted him to associate head coach as a few other teams consider hiring him to run their squad outright.

And all the Internet could do was make jokes from the musical Hamilton.
