The Bucks promoted Charles Lee to associate head coach and Hamilton fans all made the same joke

Hopefully the Bucks don’t schedule any games in Monmouth

At 37 years old, Charles Lee has made a rather rapid ascension up the NBA coaching ranks.

After playing four years at Bucknell from 2002-06 — then going pro overseas for four more years — Lee started as an assistant at his alma mater before joining Mike Budenholzer’s staff with the Atlanta Hawks in 2014.

When Budenholzer’s Atlanta tenure ended in 2018, Lee followed the coach to the Milwaukee Bucks, where they went on to win an NBA title in 2021. On Saturday, Lee took the next major step in his career as the Bucks reportedly promoted him to associate head coach as a few other teams consider hiring him to run their squad outright.

And all the Internet could do was make jokes from the musical Hamilton.

Lin-Manuel Miranda’s reaction to the Twins calling up his cousin is so wholesome

“Look at where you are, look at where you started.” Lin-Manuel Miranda, probably.

Jose Miranda surely won’t be throwing away his shot for the Minnesota Twins.

On Monday, the Twins called up Miranda for his first-ever stint at the MLB level. Normally, a call up of a top prospect to the big leagues is neat, but not really noteworthy in baseball circles. For Miranda, however, things are just a bit different, as you may be familiar with his cousin, the creator of Hamilton Lin-Manuel Miranda!

Yes, seriously, the two are cousins! Talk about a crazy talented family right there. On Tuesday, Lin-Manuel Miranda tweeted his congratulations to his cousin in a short but incredibly wholesome tweet.

How sweet! In his first game on Monday, Jose Miranda went 0-for-4 at the plate, but is set to be back in for the Twins on Tuesday at first base.

Hilariously though, it seems Miranda has never seen one of his cousin’s shows!

Maybe when the Twins roll through New York in September, if Miranda’s bat keeps him in the mix. That would also give him time to see one of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s plays, which he admits, he hasn’t had the chance to — yet.

Given Hamilton‘s incredible success on Broadway over the years, Miranda will certainly have the time in between baseball seasons.

Lin-Manuel Miranda delightfully counted down to the ‘Hamilton’ premiere like he was on Broadway

“Hamilton” is officially on Disney+!

Hamilton fans — and those who never got to see the original Broadway production — were so pumped for the filmed version to drop on Disney+ a year earlier than expected.

Early on Friday, it was released on the paid streaming service, and judging by #HamiltonFilm being the top trend on Twitter in the morning, I’d say it’s living up to the hype.

Lin-Manuel Miranda, who wrote the music, lyrics and book of Hamilton, had a fantastic way of counting down to the premiere on Twitter. He played the role of Broadway stage manager, providing the announcements he’d hear backstage before a performance. It pulled back the curtain — so to speak — on what it’s like before a show:
