The Boston Celtics will need Grant Williams to play well if a title is their goal

Boston needs his strength to defend some of the biggest stars in the league while also being able to hit open 3-pointers.

If the Boston Celtics are going to be in the best shape they can be for the 2023 NBA Playoffs, they will need an engaged, focused version of reserve forward Grant Williams available and ready to play the role the ball club needs him to, using his strength to defend some of the biggest stars in the league while also being able to hit open 3-pointers.

The Tennessee alum has been stuck in a rut on both ends of late, however, complicating things for Boston in their push for the Eastern Conference’s top seed as a combination of a nagging elbow injury combined with concerns about his next deal and the state of the team he is on at present have thrown his usual game off considerably.

The hosts of the CLNS Media “Celtics Beat” podcast linked up with Boston sports blogger Dan Greenberg to talk about WIlliams’ importance to the team’s title aspirations.

Take a look at the clip embedded above to hear what they had to say about it.
