It’s hard not to get excited about a floor general standing 6 feet, 9 inches, which is probably what got the Boston Celtics excited about signing former Toronto Raptors reserve point guard Dalano Banton. The 23-year-old Canadian has a fair amount of potential on the offensive end of the court, and he has already shown his value as a defensive option in the backcourt.
The Toronto native averaged 4.6 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists per contest this past season. He shot 42.3% from the floor overall, an improving 29.4% from beyond the arc, and a solid 70.8% from the free-throw line in 9 minutes per game with the Raptors in the 2022-23 season.
To see the best of his play with Toronto last season, take a look at the clip embedded below put together by fan-favorite Celtics videographer Tomasz Kordylewski via his official YouTube channel.
