The Chicago Bears certainly haven’t made it easy this season, with every contest a one-score game. But they’ve mastered the whole “winning ugly” thing, and it’s paid off with a 5-1 record and first place in the NFC North through Week 6.
The Bears are one of just six teams in the NFL that have won five games through the first six weeks of the 2020 season. Which in itself is an accomplishment.
But it really puts things into perspective considering the entire NFC East — the Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants and Washington Football Team — have all combined for five wins through the first six weeks. It also makes you wonder how many times the Bears could make the playoffs if they had the benefit of being in the league’s worst division.

Meanwhile, the Bears’ five wins is currently enough for first place in the NFC North, where the Green Bay Packers are right on their heels at 4-1.
Chicago will be tested over these next few weeks, where they’ll face the Los Angeles Rams, New Orleans Saints, Tennessee Titans and Minnesota Vikings before their bye week.
