Texas is in good position to land another transfer from Alabama.
The strong relationships that Steve Sarkisian and Jeff Banks had while coaching for the Crimson Tide is paying dividends for the Texas program.
Last offseason, Texas was able to snag running back Keilan Robinson from Tuscaloosa. This offseason, the Longhorns landed Alabama transfer tight end Jahleel Billingsley via the transfer portal a few days ago, and are now emerging as the favorite to land Alabama transfer linebacker Jaylen Moody.
Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports entered a crystal ball for Moody in favor of Texas on Wednesday.

“Fired in a 247Sports crystal ball for Texas to land former Alabama linebacker Jaylen Moody out of the transfer portal after talking to a source with knowledge of the situation. Sounds like this could be done in the next day or two,” the report states.
Moody served as a reserve inside linebacker and special teams contributor last season, compiling 15 tackles and one interception. After spending four seasons with the Crimson Tide, he will have one year of eligibility remaining.
