Texas Takeover: Longhorns ascend in Week 6’s College Sports Wire power rankings

Struggling against Auburn has had a negative effect in this week’s power rankings for the Georgia Bulldogs.

The calendar officially flipped to October which means the games should become more intense. Teams are jockeying for position when it comes to conference title game berths and placement for the College Football Playoffs.

We have the usual suspects with the Georgia Bulldogs, Alabama Crimson Tide, Michigan Wolverines, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Oklahoma Sooners. A pair of monster names returning to their former glory, Florida State Seminoles and Texas Longhorns.

With another week in the books, the College Sports Wire staff put together their composite power rankings with a new leader at the top.
