Texas’ regular season ended in the best way possible with three consecutive wins. Victories over Oklahoma, Iowa State, and TCU propelled the Longhorns to third place in the Big 12.
In the latest Ferris Mowers Coaches poll powered by USA TODAY Sports, Texas remains at No. 16 despite their three-game winning streak. In-conference foe Oklahoma State (No. 14) and Virginia (No. 15) jumped over the Longhorns.
Baylor is still the top-ranked Big 12 team heading into the conference tournament. After their loss to Kansas, the Bears responded in a big way with wins over West Virginia, Oklahoma State, and Texas Tech.
The Mountaineers (No. 9) and Jayhawks (No. 12) round out the top 15 with the Cowboys. Looking further down toward the bottom five of the poll, Texas Tech (No. 22) and Oklahoma (No. 24) hang on after regular-season finale losses.
