Needing to replace some lost talent at the linebacker position, the Colorado Buffaloes extended an offer to Texas State transfer Preston “Max” Harris.
Harris announced an offer from the Buffs on Sunday following a strong junior season with the Bobcats. The 6-foot, 225-pound Alabama native recorded 44 total tackles (22 solo), one forced fumble and 0.5 sacks.
Harris began his college football career at Incarnate Word, tallying 26 total tackles and 2.5 TFLs as a freshman in 2022. He then transferred to Louisiana Monroe and finished the 2023 season with 79 total tackles, one forced fumble and an interception. His next school will be his fourth in four years.
According to Harris’ X account, Western Michigan and Memphis have also extended transfer offers.
Both of Colorado’s starting inside linebackers are moving on after this season. LaVonta Bentley has exhausted his college eligibility while Nikhai Hill-Green transferred to the Alabama Crimson Tide.
