Former Texas State defensive tackle Tavian Coleman entered the transfer portal on Dec. 26 and has already lined up visits with multiple Pour Four teams.
Per On3’s Steve Wiltfong, Coleman will check out Purdue, Cal and Colorado as he searches for a new home. The 6-foot-1, 295-pound Bobcats transfer will take a closer look at the Buffs beginning Sunday.
A native of Humble, Texas, Coleman began his college career at Trinity Valley Community College (2020-21) before spending one year at Utah State (2022) and two at Texas State (2023-24). This past season, he totaled 25 tackles, 5.5 TFLs, 2.5 sacks and two forced fumbles.
Coleman is a three-star transfer (per On3) who has one year of eligibility remaining.
Colorado’s defensive line took a giant step forward in 2024 but key members Shane Cokes, Chidozie Nwankwo and BJ Green II have exhausted their college eligibility. Rayyan Buell (Memphis) and Dayon Hayes (Texas A&M) have also found new homes via the transfer portal.
