Over the past couple seasons Texas has had much more success recruiting the state of Florida, and on Thursday the Longhorns secured yet another major victory.
Four-star defensive lineman D’antre Robinson took to social media to announce that he will be committing to Texas. He chose the Longhorns over programs such as Florida, Georgia, Florida State, LSU, and Ohio State among many others.
The 6-foot-4, 305-pound defensive lineman from Orlando holds over 60 offers, and should catapult Texas from the No. 21 recruiting class in the country to the No. 19 class. As a junior, Robinson totaled 61 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, nine sacks, and a forced fumble.
According to 247Sports, he ranks as the No. 353 player in the country and No. 50 player in the state of Florida.
