Texas re-offers two top prospects from 2022 recruiting class

Texas’ new coaching staff re-offered five-star quarterback Maalik Murphy and four-star linebacker Trevell Johnson.

The new coaching staff at Texas has hit the ground running on the recruiting trail.

Over the last week, the Longhorns have offered numerous highly-touted prospects from the 2022 recruiting class. Whether they had previously been offered under former head coach Tom Herman or not, it’s clear that Steve Sarkisian is swinging big.

Five-star quarterback Maalik Murphy and four-star linebacker Trevell Johnson are the latest to be re-offered under the new coaching staff.

Murphy is a top 30 prospect in the country and could be Texas’ primary pro-style quarterback target after Quinn Ewers committed to Ohio State. Johnson’s name is heating up on the recruiting trail and he’s a top 20 player at his position out of the 2022 class.
