Former Texas offensive line coach Herb Hand was one of the first to offer five-star offensive tackle Devon Campbell.
Now that newly hired head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff are adjusting to their new roles in Austin, the Longhorns have been targeting several of the country’s top players from the 2022 recruiting class.
One of their top priorities is the No. 1 offensive tackle. According to 247Sports composite, Campbell is also a top 10 overall prospect from the 2022 recruiting class.
Sarkisian and Co. have to find a way to keep the 6-foot-4, 265-pound Arlington native in the state. Offensive line coach Kyle Flood is one of the top coaches at the position and is widely-known as a great recruiter.
Mike Roach of Horns247 entered a Crystal Ball Prediction for Campbell to eventually commit to Texas.
