Texas will travel to Dallas for the annual Red River Shootout with its season on the line. The Longhorns lost at home to TCU on Saturday and will need to beat Oklahoma to keep the season afloat.
Oddly enough, the Sooners are in a similar position. Lincoln Riley dropped his opening two conference games for the first time in his career. This Texas-Oklahoma matchup will be unfamiliar territory for both teams.
Losing last season’s matchup, Tom Herman will be looking to get his second rivalry win in four seasons. If he does, the Longhorns’ will still have an opportunity to push towards their goal of a Big 12 championship.
