Texas OL signee Neto Umeozulu’s stock is soaring at the Under Armour All-America practices

Scouts are all in on Neto Umeozulu after a few dominant practices this week.

The good news surrounding Texas’ Under Armour All-America participants has continued to pour in, but no one has received more praise than four-star offensive lineman Neto Umeozulu.

The Allen High School product has been featured in multiple reports by recruiting analysts, and has widely been regarded as one of the event’s biggest standouts.

Umeozulu’s performance was detailed by both On3 and 247Sports, and it is certainly good news for a Texas team whose offensive line was the weakest unit on the team.

On3’s Charles Power included Umeozulu on his “All Eye Test Team” which he identified as “which prospects have the most advanced or projectable dimensions and builds relative to success at their respective positions.”

Here is what he said about Umeozulu:

Neto Umeozulu is a powerfully-built, barrel-chested offensive linemen with outstanding length. The stature and length paired with his athleticism give him the ability to play either inside or at tackle at the next level. We’ve seen Umeozulu use his length and girth to control and anchor defensive linemen throughout the week.

His size and build wasn’t the only thing that stood out to observers, as 247Sports’ Greg Biggins included Umeozulu on his list of players that improved their stock. Here is what Biggins said about Umeozulu:

Umeozulu is not just a four-star but in the Top247 at 216. Saying that, he looks like someone who should be closer to the top 100 than the back end of the 247. He made our Top Performers list on Friday and has shut down some very good defensive linemen this week. He has showed off his versatility, playing multiple spots along the line and even though we like him as a guard in college, he some of the best feet in this event. He’s a highly competitive kid as well and while others tend to stand in the back during one on ones, Umeozulu has been willing to take on anyone. He needs to continue to get stronger to stand up to some of the bull rushers he’ll see but he shows some nice upside for sure.

Steve Sarkisian and his staff are likely chomping at the bit in regards to Umeozulu and his 2022 classmates getting on campus for the upcoming season.

The Longhorns class is loaded with talent in the trenches, and will need players like Umeozulu to come in and have a major role in order to help out Quinn Ewers and company.
