Five-star defensive back Kobe Black is one of the top prospects in the 2024 recruiting cycle.
Black is listed as the No. 16 overall prospect and No. 3 cornerback in the 2024 class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
The Waco Connally product has over 30 offers from top schools around the country. Black announced on Thursday night he is narrowing down his recruitment to focus on 11 programs.
Alabama, Florida, LSU, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Nebraska, TCU, Texas, Texas A&M and USC all made the cut for the elite corner.
Texas remains in a still spot in Black’s recruitment. The Longhorns signed Black’s high school teammate Jelani McDonald in the last cycle. Steve Sarkisian and his staff hope the two can reunite at the next level.
The Longhorns look to make it back-to-back seasons signing the top-ranked corner prospect from the state of Texas after landing Malik Muhammad in the 2023 class.
