Texas Longhorns 1 of only 4 teams yet to trail in 2024

How dominant have the Texas Longhorns been so far this season? UT is only one of four teams that haven’t trailed a single second this season.

The Texas Longhorns have had a dominant start to the season. The Horns are 5-0 and the closest margin of victory was by 19-points at Michigan, and the game was only that close thanks to a garbage time touchdown by the Wolverines.

Texas also beat Colorado State by 52-points, UTSA by 49-points, ULM by 48-points and shook off a stubborn Mississippi State team to win by 22-points.

In fact, maybe the most telling stat of UT dominance is the fact that Texas has not trailed in any game so far. Not one single second.

The Longhorns are one of only four teams across the nation that haven’t trailed yet. Texas has been leading in a game 84.9% of the time and have been tied for 15.1%. Of course, the teams are tied at the beginning of the game.

The other schools on the list are the Tennessee Volunteers, the Indiana Hoosiers and the Army Black Knights. Aside from Texas, the other three teams are surprising this deep into the season.

Texas will try to keep the streak alive on Oct. 12 in the Cotton Bowl against the Oklahoma Sooners in Red River.
