Texas will be facing off against an old Big 12 opponent in Colorado in the Valero Alamo Bowl. The two teams are coming off completely different perspectives on their seasons.
For the Longhorns, it was a disappointing year, despite going 6-3 and finishing third in the Big 12. Tom Herman was supposed to finally breakthrough for a conference championship with young talent and senior quarterback Sam Ehlinger. Instead, his name is surrounded by controversy going into the 2021 season.
The opposite happened for the Buffaloes, going 4-1 under first-year head coach Karl Dorrell. In an offseason where Mel Tucker left unexpectedly for Michigan State, Colorado had to scramble to find a new head coach. Dorrell’s squad was projected to finish last in the Pac-12 South.
