Texas’ offensive line has been shaky all year, even with its best guys in there. Before the game, future first-round pick and left tackle Samuel Cosmi opted out of the season to prepare for the NFL draft. During the game, Derek Kerstetter, who was playing right tackle, left with an ankle injury.

Despite missing those two, the Longhorns’ offensive line showed up. Ehlinger was only sacked once and Kansas State had five tackles for loss. Yurcich did a great job calling plays to keep his quarterback safe.

Now, the same unit will have to trot out against Kansas and in the bowl game. True freshman Jake Majors, at center, and Andrej Karic, at one of the tackle spots, will get valuable experience.
