Five-star quarterback Arch Manning announced his commitment to the University of Texas on Thursday.
Just hours after On3’s director of recruiting, Chad Simmons, entered a prediction for Manning to choose the Longhorns over Georgia, the New Orleans native took to Twitter to officially announce the news.
This is a massive recruiting win for Steve Sarkisian and his staff. The amount of talent that will likely follow Manning to Austin will be significant, and those dominoes could start falling within the coming days.

Manning is rated the consensus No. 1 prospect in the country for the 2023 recruiting class. He will likely redshirt his freshman season behind Ewers, something he has expressed he is on board with, prior to becoming Texas’ quarterback of the future.
