The 2022 college football season will be here before you know it.
Staff members revealed on Monday that the Longhorns will begin spring practices on Tuesday, March 22. It’s the week after spring break and the schedule will be consistent with Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday practices.
The 15th practice will be the annual Orange-White spring game which is scheduled to take place on April 23. It will provide fans a first glimpse of the many new faces on the roster, most notably quarterback Quinn Ewers, wide receiver Isaiah Neyor, tight end Jahleel Billingsley and the slew of early enrollees.

Last season, Casey Thompson and Hudson Card competed on opposite sides of the Orange-White game. Thompson worked with the starters on offense while Card worked with the backups. However, Card ultimately won the job in fall camp and started the first game of the season.
Card will likely get the nod with the starters this spring while Ewers continues to get worked into the system.
