Texas Football Recruiting: Longhorns options at QB in 2023 including Arch Manning

The Texas Longhorns need to look to the 2023 class at quarterback. With Quinn Ewers in the fold, could they get two number one passers?

Arch Manning from Isidore Newman (New Orleans)

Yes that name should sound familiar to football fans. Arch is the grandson of Archie Manning and the nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning. He has the NFL pedigree to be the next Manning to take over the NFL. Yurcich is looking to add to his quarterback room that will already have one top ranked quarterback, Manning would make it interesting.

Early offers for the No. 1 quarterback and No. 5 prospect overall include Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Tennessee, Texas and of course Ole Miss. The family has made it clear that Arch’s recruitment will be of the old-school ilk where relationships and program stability matter more than anything.

“Some of these offers become like patches on a letter jacket and some kids are so fast and excited to announce on twitter,” Isidore Newman head coach Nelson Stewart said. “It’s something where they are taking it humbly and any time you have that level of interest it’s fantastic and he’s doing things slowly and quietly to make the best possible decision. For him the moment isn’t when you sign but where you go after that. It’s been very refreshing and old school and the coaches have been very accepting of that which has been refreshing as well.” – per Heat Check on 247Sports
