Texas Football Recruiting: Four-star OT Malik Agbo picks up offer

Four-star Malik Agbo was offered by UT on Monday. Coming out of Washington, Agbo is in the backyard of Sarkisian’s old recruiting grounds.

Texas’ presence along the West Coast has been evident since Steve Sarkisian took over as head coach.

Five-star quarterback Maalik Murphy from California committed and he will be looking to bring some talent east with him. One of them could be one of the top tackles in the state of Washington.

Four-star offensive tackle Malik Agbo was offered by the Longhorns on Monday. A product of Federal Way, Washington, Agbo is in the backyard of Sarkisian’s old recruiting grounds.

While Texas will be focusing on the in-state offensive tackles such as Kelvin Banks and Kam Dewberry, the search has also gone nationwide. The top three players at the position come from out of state and hold offers since Kyle Flood was hired. Jacob Sexton out of Edmond, Oklahoma, is another player the Longhorns are in contention for. Agbo can be added to that list.

The Washington native is wanted by the top Pac-12 programs, plus SEC powerhouses Alabama and LSU. 247Sports says Agbo has the “size to play tackle and the strength to slide inside and play guard.” Flood and Sarkisian could look to bring the four-star prospect on the interior part of its offensive line.
