The 2021 recruiting cycle will conclude in less than two weeks as the second signing day is approaching on Feb. 3. Steve Sarkisian’s new staff will have plenty of work to do as they finalize Texas’ No. 17 class in the country.
Although scholarship offers are still being sent out to potential commits to fill the eight spots left in the 2021 class, the 2022 process is already well underway.
Texas’ main priority for the 2022 class is to find their top quarterback. Back in October, many fans and media alike thought this was already finished. However, the loss to Oklahoma and uncertainty over Tom Herman’s future eventually convinced five-star quarterback Quinn Ewers to decommit from the program.
With a new staff now place in Austin, the hunt begins to find the next passer to wear the burnt orange. The Longhorns have extended offers to five quarterbacks in the 2022 class.
