Texas football is gearing up for another big recruiting weekend on campus

The Longhorns will once again be hosting several of the top prospects in the 2023 recruiting class this weekend.

Over the last two weeks, Steve Sarkisian and his staff have managed to put together two monster recruiting weekends.

Five-star quarterback Arch Manning among a slew of other highly rated 2023 targets were in Austin for a visit last week, and the list of prospects expected to visit Texas this weekend looks just as impressive.

Inside Texas (subscription required) has done an incredible job keeping tabs on which recruits are expected to visit with the Longhorns on Saturday. Five-star running back Rueben Owens and five-star linebacker Anthony Hill headline the group, while four-star wide receiver Johntay Cook and four-star EDGE Desmond Umeozulu will also be present.

Texas seems to be gaining momentum at the right time for the 2023 cycle, as numerous predictions have been entered recently that favor the Longhorns.

On3 updated their prediction machine for tight end Will Randle, Manning’s teammate at Isidore Newman, to heavily favor Texas. Three-star linebacker S’Maje Burrell and three-star tight end Lafayette Kaiuway received 247Sports crystal ball predictions to Texas over the last few weeks as well.

After hauling in the No. 5 recruiting class in the country for the 2022 cycle, Sarkisian and his staff have seemingly kept the energy flowing over into the 2023 class.
