This offseason has been Steve Sarkisian’s best so far, and it’s only January.
Texas has landed Matthew Golden, Isaiah Bond, Silas Bolden, Trey Moore, Andrew Mukuba and Amari Niblack. That’s six starting-caliber players who have transferred to the Forty Acres within the past month.
Bond and Niblack come from Alabama, combined for nearly 1,000 yards and eight touchdowns in 2023, and were key contributors in the Crimson Tide offense.
Niblack joins Texas at a perfect time. The Longhorns will lose star tight end Ja’Tavion Sanders to the NFL draft, and Niblack’s skill set should flourish in a tight end-friendly system.
Sark has reloaded the Texas offense to match, or even outshine, its 2023 weapons.
Here is how Texas fans and players reacted to the Longhorns landing the star tight end.
